He is survived by: his parent Sylvannes Carswell; his wife Judy Buff Carswell; his sons, Jodie Carswell and Timothy Carswell (Amy); his grandchildren, Corey Carswell (Taylor), Gracie Carswell, Garret Carswell, David Miller and Tucker Carswell; and his sisters, Naomi Carswell Chapman (Bobby) of Morganton and Sandra Carswell Buff (Dean) of Morganton.
