It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eric Wayne Whisenant (Morganton, North Carolina), who passed away on December 22, 2019, at the age of 56, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Iverson L. Whisenant, Minnie Marie Whisenant of Glen Alpine, Melvin A. Propst and Minnie Mull Propst of Morganton; his aunts, Doris Hurst and Mabel Kelly Whisenant; and his uncle Melvin Propst, Jr..
He is survived by: his parents, Wayne W. Whisenant and Louise Propst Gilley; his sister Erika Whisenant Mosteller (William Nathan Mosteller) of Morganton; his stepsisters, Shanda Stillwell of Morganton, Wendy Cook of Morganton and Emma Jean Gilley of Virginia; his niece Kaitlynn Whisenant; his nephew Dustin Mosteller; his uncle Vernon Propst of Morganton; and his aunts, Betty Jean Taylor, Patsy Cowfer, Mary Stillwell and Brenda Moses.
