She was predeceased by: her husband Willard Coleman Hamlet; her daughter Barbara Ann Chester; and her siblings, Calvin Icard, Brantley Icard, Marie Sturgill, Mary White, Colene Hatley and Juanita Goforth.
She is survived by: her daughter Janice Hamlet Orick (Ed) of Hildebran; her sister Winnie Chester of Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Keith Chester (Jan) of Hudson, Wesley Chester of Drexel, Krystal Helton (Mike) of Granite Falls, Amy Whisnant Gavaza (Brett) and Chad Hamlet Starnes of Hildebran; and her great grandchildren, Doug Chester, Todd Chester, Joe Greene, Skylar Whisnant, Callie Greene, Bryson Whisnant, Preslee Starnes, Gwendolyn, Jocilyn, Shingo and Michael Chester.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Mountain Grove Baptist Church Bus Fund, 2485 Connelly Springs Road, Granite Falls, NC 28630.
