He was predeceased by: his parent Gerald Glen Stroupe; his children, Jerry Stroupe and Jana Shell; his grandson Terry Stroupe; and his siblings, Carmie Stroupe and Jeraline Cole.
He is survived by: his parent Katie Elizabeth Johnson Stroupe; his wife Eva Jordan Stroupe; his children, Charles Keever of Morganton, Randy Keever (Sharon) of Morganton, Jeff Moorefield (Lisa) of Morganton, Cindy Stroupe of Morganton, Beverly Stroupe of Morganton and Brenda Keever of Morganton; and his grandchildren, Ryan Moorefield of Chris Shell, M. J, Tim Stroupe, Miranda Michaels, Karly Moorefield, Katie Stroupe, Carli Stroupe, Kasey Stroupe and Ashley Stroupe.
