With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Garland Bumgarner (Morganton, North Carolina), born in Jackson, North Carolina, who passed away on April 18, 2019 at the age of 72. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Burton Bumgarner and Mary Battle Bumgarner. He is survived by: his wife Frances Fox Bumgarner; and his sisters, Shelba Bumgarner of Brevard, NC and Malene "Tiny" Bumgarner Sherrill of Brevard, NC. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
