He was predeceased by: his parent Alton Randall Beck; his wife Jennie Ruth Whisenant Beck; his grandson Forrest James "Jamie" Bradshaw; and his siblings, Derrwood Beck, Alton Beck, Jr. (Willa), Phifer Beck (Geneva), Lawrence Beck, Charles Beck, Sue McDavid (Bob) and Doris Golightly.
He is survived by: his parent Virginia Williams Beck; his children, Barbara Bradshaw (Ben) and Forrest "Buddy" Beck (Janice); his great grandchildren, Peyton, Brandon, Ben Tipton, Ella Bradshaw, Jonah Bradshaw and Stella Beck; his sisters-in-law, Minnie Beck and Annie Beck; his nieces and nephews, Thomas "Tommy" Ollis, Beverly Salgwen (Cecil), Teresa McDavid and Don McDavid; and his friends, Avis Williams, Charles Clark, Ed Phifer, Jr. and Edna Newcomb.
