He is survived by: his parent Charlotte Jane McCartney Ruyle; his wife Joyce Ann Cagle Ruyle; and his children, Judy Gillen (Russ), Cindy Howard (Jack), Sandy Rayburn, Karen Brown (Josiah) and Curtis Whisenant. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and a number of nephews and nieces.
