It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Hoyt Woodard of Morganton, North Carolina, who passed away on April 6, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his mother Etta Mae Michaux Woodard; and his brother William "Rusty" Elliott Woodard Jr.. He is survived by: his father William Elliott Woodard of Morganton; his wife Anne Woodard; his children, Christopher S Woodard of Charlotte, NC, Jonathan E Roseboro of Rockwell, Texas, Elizabeth A Woodard (Stephen Baxter) of Morganton, Olivia K Woodard (Adam Dalton) of Morganton and Shante J. E. H. Roseboro of Charlotte; and his siblings, Barbara Conley of Morganton, Woodrow Ervin of Morganton, Mack Kidd of Morganton and Alfred Moore of Lenoir. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
