He is survived by: his children, Jeanette Marie Alexander (Bruce), Joseph Anthony Schwind, Jr. (Susan), Maureen "Mo" Schwind (Tracy Yancey), Kelly Ann Harton (Pat), Diane Elizabeth Cantrell (Todd) and Theresa Marie Fox (Doug); his grandchildren, Natalie Alexander Thompson, Katie Marie Alexander, Savannah Lindsay Harton, Joseph Anthony Schwind III, Chelsea Marie Schwind, Ronnie Douglas Fox, Jr. and Stephanie Elizabeth Mitchell; his great grandchildren, Maggie-Claire Thompson, Macie Alexander, Bryan Kincaid, Eli Pitts and Mason Pitts; his siblings, Walter X. Schwind (Margaret "Peggy"), Mary Anne Schwind and Madeline "Lynn" Andrews; and his close friends, Dr. James "Jim" Thomas of Morganton, NC and Patricia Leary Floyd of Richmond, VA.. He is also survived by his wife, six children, and many siblings.
