She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Ford Parker and Lena Jackson Parker; her significant other James "Jim" Hughes; her stepson Rick; and her brothers, Eugene Raye Parker, Harold Dean Parker and Melvin Lawrence Parker.
She is survived by: her stepson Mike Hughes of Mohawk, Tenn.; her brothers, Floyd Parker (Carolyn) of Old Fort, N. C. and James Parker (Virginia) of Charlotte, N. C.; and her sister-in-law Cindy Robinson Parker of Sylva, N. C.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate Nita's life will be scheduled at a later date due to COVID-19 restrictions.
