He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Alexander "Bud" Beck and Mildred Louise Beck (Bowman); and his brother Bennet Alexander Beck. He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Gale Beck (Ross); his children, James Dean Beck of Valdese, Janice Sue Lowdermilk of Morganton and Judith Rae Steare (Douglas) of Sandy Hook, CT; his grandchildren, Gwen Parker (Casey) of Valdese, Jamie Rogers (Andrew) of Gastonia, Mandy Stevenson (Preston) of Hendersonville, Anna Steare, Olivia Steare and Sam Steare of Sandy Hook, CT; his great grandchildren, Julien Beck, Nicholas Farris, Anna Grace Stevenson and Noah Stevenson; and his uncle Roland Beck (Nancy). He is also survived by children and grandchildren.
