He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Brittain and Ola Brittain; his siblings, Lawrence, Jack, Milton and Ozelle; and his grandsons, Sheldon and Derek Brittain.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy; his children, Mark of Morganton, Cindi (Neil) of Florida and Missy (Robert) of Virginia; his brothers, Fritz (Emily) of Rochelle, VA, Bobby and Donald of Delaware; and his brother-in-law Michael Young (Libby) of Hilton Head. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
