She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Lingafelt and Iris Franklin Lingafelt; her husband Vernon Whisnant; her siblings, Delbert, Fred Lingafelt, Rachel Allman, Louise Coffey, Virginia Carpenter and Ethel Morrison; and her brothers-in-law, Warren Allman, Coffey, Carpenter, Willie Morrison and Bronson King.
She is survived by: her daughter Nina Whisnant Harding (Garry) of Morganton; her grandson Jeff Harding (Yvonne) of Concord; her great grandchild Zoe Harding of Concord; her siblings, Geneva King and Alex Lingafelt (Nina); and her sister-in-law Betty Lingafelt.
