She is survived by: her husband Joseph Ray Hipps of Morganton; her children, Ronald Lee Hipps (Donita) of Valdese and Shirley Elizabeth Simpson (Donald) of Stuttgart, AR; her grandchildren, LeeAnn Earl (Dennis) of Morganton, John Joseph Hipps (Jennifer) of King, NC, Ronald Lee Hipps, Jr. of Connelly Springs, Keri R. Thomas (Carson) of Colombia, SC, Reagan L. Reasoner (Justyn) of Drexel, Donald Garrett Hipps (Somayra) of Boca Raton, FL and Christy E. Fulbright (Michael) of Hickory; and her siblings, Mamie Lowman of Hildebran and Preston Denton of Morganton. She is also survived by 30 great grandchildren.
