She was predeceased by: her parents, Mack Daniel and Tessie Borders Lyons; her husband Tommy Owens; her children, Thomas Owens and Sandra Owens; her grandson Junior Guardiola; and her siblings, Elbert, Earl, Herman, Byel Lyons and Lela Heaton.
She is survived by: her children, Sam Owens (Glettha) of Valdese, Kenneth Owens (Linda) of Morganton, Teresa LaValley (Roy) of Drexel, Christine Owens of Connelly Springs, Wanda LaValley (Russell) of Drexel and Linda Owens of Valdese; and her sister Linda Gouge of Ervin, TN.. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
