It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Marie Baker Rogers of Morganton, North Carolina, who passed away on February 14, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Will Baker and Beatrice Baker; her sister Sadie Gertrude Baker; and her son-in-law Dean Wilson. She is survived by: her children, Debbie Rogers Wilson, Michael Stanley Rogers (Kathy) and Dwight David Rogers (Monica); her grandchildren, Jennifer Rogers Grycki (Robert), Rebecca Wilson Glover (Lee), Garrett Gillison (Becca) and Maggie Holder (Heath); her great grandchildren, Rachel Grycki, Lawson Glover, Hannah Grycki, Carlee Glover and Abigail Grycki; and her siblings, Claude Baker, Randall Baker, Eula Mae Shook and Kathy Edwards. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family.
The family will receive friends from 1pm until 2pm, Wednesday, February 17, 2021 in the fellowship hall of Silver Creek Baptist Church with COVID protocols in place. The funeral service will be held at 2pm, in the church, with COVID protocols in place, with the Rev. Larry Thompson officiating.
