She was predeceased by: her parent Earl Proctor; and her husband Ralph Eugene Taylor. She is survived by: her parent Hattie Cline Proctor; her significant other George Allen Buff; her children, Margie Weaver of Hendersonville, Michael Taylor (Elizabeth Perkins), Casmir Szott of Raleigh and Andrew Szott of Brevard; and her brother Buck Proctor (Rachel) of Cleveland County. She is also survived by three grandchildren, one niece.
