He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Murray Rhodes and Lillian Setzer Rhodes; and his son Noah Rhodes. He is survived by: his children, Faye Rhodes Hinshaw (David) of Charlotte and William Rhodes (Mary) of Greenville; his brothers, Bob Rhodes (Laura) of Morganton and Jack Rhodes (Roberta) of Asheville; his granddaughters, Elizabeth Hinshaw Jones, Meredith Hinshaw, Catherine Rhodes Logan, Ashley McFalls Lane, Kerri McFalls Blackburn, Caroline Rhodes and Anna Rhodes; and his great grandchildren, Caleb, Karsyn Logan, Anna Catherine Jones, Clara, Callie Lane and Kaymin Blackburn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
