With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Norman Kenneth Burgess of Morganton, North Carolina, who passed away on June 19, 2021 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Terry David Burgess and Jane Marie Fowler Burgess; his former wife Frances Glass Burgess; his wife Barbara Capps Burgess; his daughter-in-law Robin Burgess; and his stepson Dennis Guffey.
He is survived by: his sons, Ken Burgess (Emy), David Burgess (Audrey Carswell) and Brian Burgess (Rhonda); his grandsons, Andrew and Dustin Burgess; his stepsons, Tim Guffey (Pam Hull) and Donnie Guffy (Janice); his stepgrandchildren, Alicia Goodman Guffey, Allison Guffey, Josh Guffey, Tim Guffey, II, Spencer Guffey and Paige Guffey; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Noah Goodman, Marlo Bachelder and Kearsten Guffey.
In lieu of flower, donation can be made to Burke Hospice & Palliative Care or Mount Home Baptist Church.
