He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lillian Marie Cannon Leonard of Morganton and Jack Hardie Leonard; his son Philip Marcus Leonard, Jr. (Christie); his granddaughter Lillian "Lily" Kay Leonard; his sisters, Mitzy Lancaster (Clyde) and Robi Baker (Keith); his nieces, Jennifer Holden (Stephen) and Christina Holden (Sam); and his great-nephews, Alan Michael Holden, Luke Holden and Caleb Holden.
