He was predeceased by: his parents, Derl Adams and Beulah Adams; his daughter Marsha Lee Adams Whisnant; and his brother Donnie Adams. He is survived by: his wife Mary Adams; his sons, Ricky Lee Adams, Jr., Joshua Adams and Shane Adams; his stepson Sam Benge; and his siblings, Derl Gene Adams, David (Tammy Adams) and Kenneth Adams (Dedra Hoyle). He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Calvary Freewill Baptist Church.
