With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita Deputy Crump of Morganton, North Carolina, born in Union, South Carolina, who passed away on March 1, 2021 at the age of 75. She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Deputy and Mae Collier Price. She is survived by: her husband Wade Crump; her children, David Cowick (Lola) of Lenoir, Mark Cowick of Lenoir and Effie Smith (Wayne) of Granite Falls; and her sister Charlene Hollis of Conover. She is also survived by five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
