She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Brawley and Ruth Huffman Brawley; and her daughter Dorinda Joy Deal. She is survived by: her husband Paul Deal; her sons, Henry Deal (Debbie) of Morganton and Rev. Paul Deal (Kim) of Morganton; her sister-in-law Margaret Brawley of Hickory; and her grandchildren, Casey McCurry, Colton Suttles, Derek Deal and Elizabeth Deal Rowe.
