He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Franklin Stephens Sr. and Virginia Paschall Stephens; his grandchild Lee Stephens; his siblings, Albert Stephens Jr., Ruth Carlisle, Doris Carswell, Viola Longo and Lois Tolbert; and his stepmother June Lane Stephens.
He is survived by: his wife Franda Gibbs Stephens; his children, Frankie Stephens (Daphne), Bradley Stephens (Linda) and Chris Stephens (Libby); his grandchildren, Kelsey Stephens Painter (Greyson), Chad Stephens, Ginny Stephens Gregory (Chance), Carrie Stephens, Samuel Stephens, Walton Stephens and Ali Stephens; his great grandchildren, Maddox Painter, Myla Painter, Etta Painter, Henry Gregory and William Gregory; his siblings, Jackie Metcalf and Ralph Stephens (Barbara); and his stepbrother Ted Lane (Catherine).
