She was predeceased by: her parents, Zero Guy Short and Cora Hunt Short; her husband Ted Blevins; and her siblings, Lesba Ledford, Selma Short, Mary Sue Carpenter, Lula Mae Morris, Odell Short, Grier "Joe" Short and Charlie Short.
She is survived by: her son Keith Blevins (Derenda) of Morganton; her grandchildren, Lisa Blevins Powell (Brad) of Morganton and Brian Keith Blevins (Jenny) of Lincolnton; her great grandchildren, Anniston Jade Powell of Morganton, Cade Ryan Powell of Morganton, Henry Charles Blevins of Lincolnton and Nathaniel Wesley Blevins of Lincolnton; and her brother Zane Guy Short of Morganton.
