It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sheldon Marcus Brittain (Morganton, North Carolina), born in Valdese, North Carolina, who passed away on September 12, 2018, at the age of 31, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his parents, Mark Brittain and Gail Rhyne Draper; his stepfather Tim Draper; his grandparents, Kermit Brittain, Peggy Brittain, Kenneth Rhyne and Alice Rhyne; his brothers, Derek Brittain (Sara Brown) and Layton Brittain; his stepsister Braeden Personius; his nieces, Ivy Brittain and Mackenna Brown; his nephew Sam Brittain; and his godparents, Eddie Prewitt, Kim Prewitt, Robert Breland and Jennifer "Missy" Breland. He is also survived by his friends' children, loved playing with his little brother.
Osama Yousef, the owner of Lake James Grille, where Sheldon was currently employed, summed it up well, "Sheldon became a part of our family from the first day I met him, and he will be missed dearly." The family will hold a Celebration of Life in honor of Sheldon at 3:00p.m. on Sunday September 23, 2018 at Hallelujah Arena, 735 Hopewell Road Morganton, NC 28655 In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to a Sheldon Brittain Memorial Fund, c/o Sossoman Funeral Home, P.O.
