She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvin Houser Gantt and Essie Willis Gantt; her husband Fred James Byland; and her siblings, Hugh Gantt, Juanita Green, Prue Dula and Stella Ross.

She is survived by: her sons, Greg Byland (Lisa) and Jeff Byland; her grandchildren, Trisha, Jordan, Seth, Jonathan and Emily; her great grandchild Ellie; and her sister Nell Baker.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthews United Methodist Church.
