She was predeceased by: her parent Forrest Denton, Sr.; her child Carles Wellman; her former husband Billy D. Deaton; her sons, Michael "Mike" Wellman and Randy Wellman; and her siblings, Forrest "Jay" Denton, Jr., Ray Denton, John Denton and Edna "Bob" Denton.
She is survived by: her parent Annie Thacker Denton; her daughter Bettye Wellman Baird (David); her daughter-in-law Rachel Wellman Morris; her grandchildren, Jonathan D. Baird (Megan), Timothy D. Baird (Marla), Jeffrey E. Wellman (Melissa) and Kimberly Wellman; her great grandchild Taylor Christine Lane; and her siblings, Lela Setzer, Lucy Chapman, Doris Smith, Jerry Denton (Loretta) and Donald Denton (Freda).
