He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Glenn Stroupe and Katie Elisabeth Johnson Stroupe; his granddaughter Brianna Stamey; and his siblings, Carmie Stroupe, James Stroupe and Jerri Cole.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Abee Stroupe; his daughters, Maria Young and Lisa Braswell (Steve); his grandchildren, Nicki Braswell, Deni Smith (Brandon), Carrie Bailey (Josh), Emily Young (Alex) and Katelyn Braswell; and also Stacey Smith. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
