With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia Swanson Wyke of Morganton, North Carolina, who passed away on December 22, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her father Lewis Swanson; her husband Charles Raymond Wyke; her daughter Elizabeth Ann Chester; her stepfather Glenn V. Sanders; and her siblings, Infant George Glenn Swanson, Jack Swanson and Eva Greene.

She is survived by : her children, David Wyke (Rebecca) of Morganton and Kathy Ward (Nolan) of Lenoir; and her grandchildren, Holly Black, Dawn Warren, Jonathan Wyke, Nathan Ward and Eli Ward. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
