He was predeceased by: his parent Avery Duckworth; his former wife Julia Price Duckworth; his wife Bessie Mae Webb Duckworth; his siblings, Ivey Duckworth, Lewis Duckworth, Louise Mosteller, Marie Powell and Virginia Curtis; his stepchildren, Floyd Brackett and Bessie Marie Carswell; and his stepgrandson Mike Carswell.
He is survived by: his parent Grace Stamey Duckworth; his siblings, Charles Duckworth (Margaret), Marshall Duckworth (Sandra) and Florence Ollis of Morganton; and his stepgrandchildren, Randy Carswell, Bruce Carswell, Susan Bradshaw, Karen Rennirt and Pam Brackett. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
