He is survived by: his parent Sarah Annie Causby Pless; his wife Relda Barnette Pless; his children, James William Pless (Dawn) of Morganton and Janice Pless Hollifield (Tracy) of Belmont, NC; his grandchildren, Joshua Ward Pless, Joseph William Pless, Taylor Hollifield, Reagan Hollifield and Spencer Hollifield; and his sister Clara Helen Parris of Morganton.
