She is survived by: her children, Thomas Franklin "Tom" Hennis, Jr. of Raleigh, NC and Susan Hennis Phillips; her son-in-law Floyd Phillips of Raleigh, NC; and her grandchildren, Thomas Scott Hennis of Raleigh, NC, Holly Ashlen Uppena, Anna Kathryn Uppena and Lilly Alexandra Uppena of Raleigh, NC..
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the SPCA of Wake County.
