Gloria Childress Haynes Obituary
We are sad to announce that on June 22, 2025, at the age of 80, Gloria Childress Haynes of Mount Airy, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Howard Childress and Josie Belle Pack Childress; and her siblings, Melverine Gammons, Margaret Smith, Bob Childress, Roy Childress and Jim Childress.
She is survived by: her husband James "Pete" Reedford Haynes; her daughter Buffy Scott; her son-in-law Mike; her son Jody Haynes (Becca Noah); her grandchildren, Natalie Haynes, Willow Haynes, Adley White and Paxton Noah; and her pet Maggie. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Road, Dobson, NC 27017.
