He was predeceased by: his parents, Sandy Vestal Hutchens, Sr. and Frances Gwyn Hutchens; and his brother Michael Gwyn Hutchens (Mike). He is survived by: his close friend Mike Angioletti (Tim Aitkins) of Laguna Beach, CA; and his cousin Sara Jane Leach (Walter) of Beulah. He is also survived by children and grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Trinity Episcopal Church (472 N Main St, Mt Airy, NC 27030).
