She was predeceased by: her parents, Ellis (Nennie Handy) and Margaret; her daughter Teresa Dunning; and her siblings, Albert, Claude, Sherman, Elbert Lee Handy, Lou Verna, Aleen, Alma and Hattie Handy.
She is survived by: her children, Martha Hamilton of Moyock, N. C., Wanda Smith (Joseph) of Moyock, N. C., Gloria McPherson of Camden, N. C., William Brinkley of Chesapeake, VA and Frankie Brinkley of Elizabeth City, N. C.. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.
