He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark F Braxton, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Parker Braxton. He is survived by: his wife Betty King Braxton; his daughters, Cindy Sanders (Todd) and Betty Jo Merritt (Jeffery); his brother Mark F. Braxton, Jr. (Berta); his grandchildren, Clay Darden, Andrew Darden (Amanda), Mary D. Leitner (Cullen) and Emily Merritt; his great grandchildren, Blake Darden, Harper Darden and Bennett Leitner; and his sibling's children, Nancy Cartier, Mark and Mike Braxton.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association or Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, Ahoskie, NC.
