We are sad to announce that on December 6, 2021, at the age of 79, Arthur Wayne Purcell of Murphy, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lewis Wayne and Era Hattie Lackey Purcell; and his siblings, Bobby Lackey, Linda Forrest and Francis Hutchson.
He is survived by: his wife Lillian Dobbs Purcell; and his children, James Arthur Purcell, Jerry Mashburn, Melvin Mashburn, Tammy Winfree, Theresa Snyder, Debbie Dockery and Becky Crane. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 198 Shady Grove Rd, Murphy, NC 28906.
