He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Carroll and Bonnie Carroll; his children, Tracey Sue Carroll, Jonathon Edward Carroll and Tony Ray Carroll; and his sisters, Stella Carroll, Zelma Moss, Jo Almond, Cleo Moss, Virda Preston and Ann Green.
He is survived by: his siblings, Polly Bettis, Ellen Hartman, Mollie Worley and Charlie Carroll. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
