He is survived by: his wife Betty Gillenwater Jenkins; his daughters, Audrey Jenkins Hamby (Cecil) of Deep Gap, NC and Robin Jenkins of Lynchburg, VA; his adoptive son Tyler Church of Deep Gap, NC; his granddaughters, Anna Starnes (Harris) and Michelle Smith (Caleb); his great grandchildren, Joy Starnes, Logan Starnes of Deep Gap, NC and Andrew Smith of Deep Gap, NC; and his siblings, Julia Small Carl (Bill) of Pt and C. P. Small (Debbie) of Mt. Holly, NC..
