He was predeceased by: his parents, C. W. Wayman and Sue Peace Wayman; and his siblings, Betty Warhurst and Jimmy Lee Wayman. He is survived by: his wife Karen Caldwell Wayman; his sister Dorinda "Dennie" Stearns of Murphy; and his grandchildren, Will, Anna, Katie Coffey, Ellison and Jack Wayman. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Murphy First Baptist Church Operation Christmas Child Program.
