We are sad to announce that on December 19, 2020, at the age of 91, Mary Elizabeth Mealer (Murphy, North Carolina), born in Cleveland, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Bailey and Bessie Sykes Bailey; her husband Kenneth Daris Mealer; and her siblings, William Bailey, Cummings Joe Bailey, Virgie Sutherland and Retha Thomas.
She is survived by: her children, Susie Distin (George Sultuska) of Destin, FL, William Paul "Billy" Cook of Cleveland, TN and Teresa Dewease (Darris Mealer) of Marietta, SC; her grandchildren, Lisa Rose, Mindy Loudermilk, Adam Davis, Philip Davis and Wesley Cook; and her great grandchildren, John Rose, Jacob Rose, Riley Rose, Jackson Rose, Colt Davis, Avery Davis and Brooks Davis.
Mealer will lie in state at the church prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Temple Baptist Church at #11 Simonds Chapel Rd. Murphy, NC 28906.
