She was predeceased by: her parents, Jefferson Eli and Julia Ashe Kephart; her husband William James; her daughter Sue Chapman; her great grandchild Jonah Johnson; and her siblings, Bessie Roberts and Willard Kephart.
She is survived by: her cousin Mae Lovin; and her daughters, Jeannie Gaddis of Murphy, Margaret Dockery (Lee Roy) of Murphy, Sandy Farmer of Murphy and Wanda Corwin (Clark) of Cullowhee. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
