He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Lee and Genetta Palmer Amos; his wife Peggie McKinney Amos; and his brother Don Amos. He is survived by: his children, Donna Marroni (Michael) of Williamsport, Kelley Conley (Eric) of Orlando, Nyki Klare (Bill) of Murphy, Mina Ryan (Dennis) of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, Art Amos of Murphy and Jimmy Amos (Mandi) of Murphy; his sister Kathryn Mills of Murphy; his grandchildren, Evan Marroni, Amanda, Zachary Amos, Savannah Hardin, Shaunan Conley, Niki Roberson, Samantha Mockus, Dylan, Cody Ryan, Brady and Xander Graves; and his great grandchildren, Mason, Carson Lovingood, Noah Hardin, Maddox, Bryce Roberson, Sloan Conley, Madison Baker and Christopher Ryan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Ray Amos to the Hanging Dog Baptist Church, 3522 Hanging Dog Road, Murphy, NC 28906.
