It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Stanley Wayne Wood Jr. of Murphy, North Carolina, born in Copperhill, Tennessee, who passed away on June 9, 2020, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Wayne Wood Sr. and Elie Ann Nichols; and his siblings, J. D. Wood and Ann Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Lynda Lou Gaddis Wood; his children, Rhonda Stallard (Darrell) of Murphy, NC and Cyndi McNutt of Murphy, NC; his sister Carol Stallings of Gibsonville, NC; his grandchildren, Seth and Kayla Stallard; and his great grandchild Brinlee Anne Stallard. He is also survived by one great-grandson in December, one niece and four nephews.
