With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Varnell A. Jones of Murphy, North Carolina, who passed away on January 15, 2021 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Reverend Henry Grady and Josephine Swanson Jones; and his siblings, Lois Jones Meek, Lettie Mae Jones, Lola Jones Coleman, James E., Windom, Maynard, Cecil, J. L. and Von Jones.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Payne Jones; his children, Tammy Jones Ware (Andy) of Murphy, Ron Dale Jones (Cherylene) of Robbinsville and Brian Anthony Jones (Jaimie) of Murphy; his sister Lexie Jones Weaver of McCaysville, Georgia; his grandchildren, Matthew Jones (Heather), Taylor Gilton (Brandon), Trent, Quinn, Whitney, Brent Fabian, Josey and Emery Ware; and his great grandchildren, Hadleigh Jones and Declan Gilton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Masks are requested but not required.
