He was predeceased by : his wife Wanda Nell Gore Stocks; and his sister Lillian Hardie. He is survived by : his children, Charles E. Stocks (Faye) of Nakina, Anthony Hall Stocks of Nakina and Laura Lynn Penny (Robert) of Whiteville; his grandchildren, Misty Hardwick (Chris) of Nakina, Kyle Stocks (Paige) of Hickory, Talisha Gibson of Nakina, Casey Penny of Nakina, Taylor Housand (Addison) of Tabor City and Zach Stocks of Tabor City; his great grandchildren, Autumn Hardwick, Joel Hardwick, Aubrey Stocks, Aedan Stocks, Castle Gibson, Anaelle Housand, Declan Housand, Oliver Stocks and Calvin Stocks; and his great great grandchildren, Charley Mae Suggs and Dallas Suggs.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Peacock Funeral Home (1227 S Madison St, Whiteville, NC 28472). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 13th 2024 at 3:00 PM at the Seven Creeks Baptist Church.
