It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl David Zamenski Jr. (New Bern, North Carolina), born in Baltimore, Maryland, who passed away on October 11, 2025, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Laura Shannon Zamenski; his grandsons, Joshua David and Jonathan Russell Oglesby; and his siblings, Elizabeth Szydlowski and Glenn Zamenski.
He is survived by: his wife Christie; his daughters, Sara Marie Oglesby (David), Debra Michele Zamenski (Brian Baker), Amanda Jean Barrett (Josh) and Rachel Elaine Shamblin (Jeff); and his grandchildren, Jacob, Shannon Oglesby, Hayley Shamblin, Patrick, Darby and Michael Barrett.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the Cotten Funeral Home (2201 Neuse Blvd, New Bern, NC 28560). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
