He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph C. Couch and Olive R. Couch; and his sister Beth. He is survived by: his sons, Kendell "Jay" Couch (Brooke Kuzma) of Supply, NC and Joseph C. Couch, III (Heather) of Havelock; his sister Annette Couch of Grand Rapids, MN; his sister-in-law Lisa Richey (Tom Caperton) of Lake Waccamaw, NC; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Joseph, Harley, McKenna and Jerrah; his nephews, John and Jeff; his niece JoAnn; and his pet Tikka.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one of Joe's favorite charities, "On Target 4 Veterans" (ontarget4vets.org).
