She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Roush and Mildred Roush Zalusky (Miller) of Dayton, Ohio.; her son-in-law Charles F. "Chuck" Wolfe; and her cousin Marcia Lee Mills. She is survived by: her husband Herbert "Skip" Surman; her daughters, Karen Ann Rose (Mark) and Cynthia "Cindy" Ann Wolfe; her brother James Zalusky (Linda); her cousin Judy Jewell; her grandchildren, Andrea Christine Salyers (Beau), John Charles Wolfe (Claudia), Marisa Jane Sanders (Robert) and Christopher James Wolfe; her nephew Eric Zalusky (Ellen); her great grandchildren, Lexington Rose Sanders and Paxton Robert Sanders; and also, Debra Hockman (Steve), Patty Rhodes (Jim) and Anna Zalusky.
